Lenovo ThinkPad X130e laptop Features, Specs

Lenovo, after launching the Lenovo Thinkcentere EDGE 71z and Lenovo Thinkcentere Edge 91z in India, has announced the new Lenovo ThinkPad X130e laptop mainly focused on students. Having a moderate price, Lenovo ThinkPad X130e directly aims the school students market and has features which will be more than enough for their day to day usage.

The laptop will be available for sale through Lenovo's official website from 20th of December, 2011. The student laptop carries a price tag of $469 which roughly estimates around Rs 25,000 in India. There is no confirmed news about the arrival of this student laptop in India, but a launch in India is surely on the cards.

Durability and safety features of ThinkPad X130e :

Being a student laptop, Lenovo has increased the durability and safety features of the ThinkPad X130e as easy handling is quite usual with school kids. The design features have contributed for the safety factors which protect the device from damages.

The sides of the laptop has been given a bumper like cover made of rubber to protect from dust and to withstand impacts when dropped. The corners are made 33 percent stronger to absorb impact. Stronger hinges are built to withstand rough open-close handling of students. For the protecting the LED display, ThinkPad X130e comes with 1.2mm thick plastic.

In order to make it easy for students to carry the ThinkPad X130e, the makers have managed to make it weigh around 1.78 kg.

With a 11.6-inch display, it comes with 8GB of RAM, a 500GB or 320GB harddrive and a range of USB ports. The laptop give you three Battery options, 31.2 Whr or 6 cell, 62.4 Whr batteries, while flash card reader, HDMI port, VGA port contributes for the three ports. A VGA webcam with low light sensitivity will help you chat with your pals in dim lighting conditions.

For supporting the latest in trend digital learning, Lenovo ThinkPad X130e has enough multimedia tools and wireless connectivity feature. In order to help students problems like data recovery, access and system booting, the laptop features Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology which helps in booting the Windows under 20sec. The Built-in self-help helps to solve access and data recovery issues by themselves.
