Lenovo, after launching the Lenovo Thinkcentere EDGE 71z and Lenovo Thinkcentere Edge 91z in India, has announced the new Lenovo ThinkPad X130e laptop mainly focused on students. Having a moderate price, Lenovo ThinkPad X130e directly aims the school students market and has features which will be more than enough for their day to day usage.
The laptop will be available for sale through Lenovo's official website from 20th of December, 2011. The student laptop carries a price tag of $469 which roughly estimates around Rs 25,000 in India. There is no confirmed news about the arrival of this student laptop in India, but a launch in India is surely on the cards.
Durability and safety features of ThinkPad X130e :
Being a student laptop, Lenovo has increased the durability and safety features of the ThinkPad X130e as easy handling is quite usual with school kids. The design features have contributed for the safety factors which protect the device from damages.
The sides of the laptop has been given a bumper like cover made of rubber to protect from dust and to withstand impacts when dropped. The corners are made 33 percent stronger to absorb impact.
